The role
Position summary Independently plan, film and edit original short-form stories for Desi Dragon, Pearl & Leaf, Meridian Hill and Nature’s Bazaar in Jamaica, Queens. The focus is hands-on creative production rather than social scheduling.
Key responsibilities Develop hooks, concepts and concise storylines. Film, photograph, interview and edit publishable pieces. Create repeatable workflows for multiple brands. Cover launches, events and community stories. Coordinate approved creator and community partnerships. Review engagement or business results when actually documented.
Required qualifications Portfolio showing independently produced and edited short-form video. Clear evidence of shooting, storytelling and postproduction ability. Strong production coordination and delivery skills.
Preferred qualifications NYC hospitality or event work, creator partnerships, evidenced AI-assisted editing.

Hiring process
- Portfolio and application review, followed by a structured interview about your personal contribution to the work shown.
- A live discussion of content, founder-story, and community scenarios. The initial application does not require you to produce or edit content.
- Finalists complete a paid on-site field test involving observation, filming, and a short-form content piece.
- Final debrief and reference checks.
- During interviews and the paid field test, discuss how you work with AI, what you personally contribute, and a sustainable part-time or full-time scope.
